Plane crashes near W. Jordan airport; 2 hurt

WEST JORDAN — Two passengers are in critical condition after a small airplane crashed in a soccer field just south of a West Jordan airport.

KSTU-TV reports (http://bit.ly/oEtK3J ) a helicopter ambulance has been dispatched to the scene.

The station reported high winds and lightning at the time the plane went down about 1:20 p.m. Tuesday.
