Davis Hospital earns recognition

LAYTON -- Davis Hospital and Medical Center has been honored for its efforts to enhance patient-focused services and increase patient satisfaction, receiving the 2011 HealthInsight Certificate of Recognition for achieving the greatest overall improvement in Patient Perceptions of Care.

The award was presented at the annual awards dinner of the Utah Hospital Association on Oct. 6.

The HealthInsight Certificate of Recognition acknowledges providers who demonstrate the greatest improvement on publicly reported quality of care and patient perceptions of care data, as measured by the government-sponsored Hospital Consumer Assessment of Health Providers and Systems.

The 2011 Certificate of Recognition is based on a comparison of hospital performance data between the periods of Oct. 1, 2008, to Sept. 30, 2009, and Oct. 1, 2009, to Sept. 30, 2010.

The data is posted at www.hospitalcompare.hhs.gov.
