LAYTON -- The Score Higher Utah Project, a program designed to help Utah high school students improve their ACT scores, was selected to receive a 2011 Smart Women Grant from Zions Bank.
Layton's Amanda Mae Grow, the project founder, was awarded a $3,000 grant in the category of continuing education and teacher support. Her project was selected from among nearly 110 applications submitted this year. The Score Higher Utah project focuses on helping students improve their ACT scores through access to effective, strategy-based preparation imparted to them during regular school day instruction. The project consists of a workbook and video mini-lessons written by Grow.
