City staff recently requested the city council amend the fee schedule for agricultural protection zones and youth basketball.
Local interest has increased in agricultural protection zones due to the studies being completed by UDOT. State law allows the city to establish a reasonable fee for processing an agricultural protection zone application.
The direct costs related to processing an agricultural protection zone are: postage, newspaper fees, formal notices and staff time.
The council agreed to a $450 fee with $100 being refundable if the application is denied.
Section two of the fee schedule included the recreation program registration fees. The sixth-grade and younger basketball fee was raised to $50 from $49.50.
