Homecoming 'W': Weber State routs Idaho State 39-12

 

OGDEN -- Mike Hoke completed only seven passes but four of them went for touchdowns as Weber State won its 13th straight game over border rival Idaho State with a 39-12 win Saturday at Stewart Stadium.

Shaydon Kehano caught touchdown passes of 83 and 56 yards, finishing with three catches for 157 yards for the Wildcats (3-3, 3-1 Big Sky). Hoke was 7 of 12 for 200 yards and was intercepted by Donovan Henley in the first quarter, snapping a streak of 196 passes without an interception, the longest in the Football Championship Subdivision.

Rodrick Rumble, who entered the game leading the FCS in receptions per game, had 14 catches for 166 yards and a touchdown for Idaho State (2-5, 1-4).

Trevor Pletcher had four sacks, Caldwell Taylor had a sack for a safety and a blocked punt and Anthony Morales had 14 tackles to lead the defense in the Wildcats' homecoming game.
