Woman survives 90-foot tumble at Bridal Veil Falls

PROVO -- A 30-year-old woman broke her feet but survived after falling 30 feet and tumbling another 60 feet during a hiking trip at Bridal Veil Falls.

Utah County sheriff's deputies say the woman fell on Saturday about 9 a.m., about two hours after her hiking group started their excursion in the Provo Canyon.

Rescuers lowered her from the place she landed above the first tier of the falls and used a helicopter to take her to the hospital.

Deputies tell KSL-TV the woman was conscious and talking to emergency crews during the rescue.
