County council to get flu shots at public meeting

SALT LAKE CITY — Members of the Salt Lake County Council will roll up their sleeves for flu vaccinations during an official meeting.

Councilman Arlyn Bradshaw said the county leaders want to set an example during the Tuesday afternoon gathering in hopes that residents get their own flu shots.

Other county elected officials are invited to join council members in getting the vaccination.

Dr. Audrey Stevenson of the Salt Lake Valley Health District Family Health Services says the county needs its public servants to stay healthy during flu season, and says getting the shot is the best way to do it.
