ST. GEORGE, Utah -- A woman has been booked into the Washington County jail after police say she made a false report about a triple shooting in a southern Utah backyard shed.
St. George police say they scrambled to the scene with emergency lights and sirens after a 911 call about 5:30 p.m. Monday. Officers surrounded the home before contacting one of the residents, who said nothing was wrong.
All the people in the house were found to be safe and uninjured. No shots had been fired.
The 24-year-old caller was booked in jail on suspicion of 911 abuse, disorderly conduct and making a false report.
Family members told police the woman might have been under the influence at the time of the call.
