Free chili dinner to benefit Island

FARMINGTON -- Friends of Antelope Island, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to enhance the visitors' experience on the island, will host a chili dinner from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Fielding Garr Ranch barn.

Entertainment will begin at 7 p.m.

The dinner is free, with donations to be "gratefully accepted," said Neka Roundy, Community and Economic Development specialist.

The event is being held in conjunction with the 25th annual Bison Roundup at Antelope Island State Park, Roundy said.

The public can view the roundup. The cost is $9 per vehicle, the state park entry fee.
