The Ogden Mustangs, the Top of Utah's new Western States Hockey League team, will offer special discounts to military personnel at tonight's game at The Ice Sheet.
The game -- against the Idaho Jr. Steelheads -- will be the last chance to see the Mustangs until Dec. 2. The game starts at 7:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, Real Salt Lake will team up with Souls4Souls and Comcast TV to collect 20,000 shoes along the Wasatch Front for residents in need.
From now until Dec. 31, new and gently-used shoes will be collected at various locations in Utah, as well as at Comcast service centers (until Oct. 31).
You can get in the spirit at tonight's RSL-Portland Timbers game at Rio Tinto Stadium. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

Former Weber High tennis standout Mary Anne Macfarlane made it all the way to the semifinals of the 2011 Riviera/ITA All-American Championships last week in California.

Who knew going to sports events required a wardrobe change?
Weber State football fans are encouraged to wear black for its "Blackout Game" at 4 p.m. at Stewart Stadium.
Then, WSU volleyball fans are encouraged to wear pink for tonight's match with Eastern Washington. Game time is 7 p.m. at Swenson Gym.
