CEDAR CITY -- A man from Iron County has been arrested after authorities say he shot at two hunters to scare them off what he thought was his property.
The Spectrum reports (http://bit.ly/tXRmkA ) 64-year-old David Earl Brown was arrested Saturday on suspicion of aggravated assault and discharging a firearm.
Authorities say a man and a girl were hunting on public land near Modena Canyon when they noticed men pointing a gun with a scope at them.
The hunter told officials shots were fired near him. The hunter yelled to the men to stop shooting, but they reportedly fired two more shots within a few feet of the pair.
The two crawled away and called authorities.
Jail records show Brown posted bail. A phone number listed for him was not working.
