CLEARFIELD -- The city approved two people to replace long-standing members on an advisory committee.
The city holds positions on the Hill Air Force Base restoration advisory board and needed to appoint a member and an alternate for the board.
Previously, the city's own employee Greg Benson and councilwoman Marilyn Fryer had claimed those spots.
"We though it was time to give someone else the chance to serve," said City Manager Adam Lenhard.
That's why they selected Leslie Strange as the regular member and Buck Ekstrom as the alternate member. Both are city residents who had applied for planning commission spots.
Lenhard said they were impressed and wanted to give them a role to fill.
