(UNEDITED) What's the problem with fast food places getting orders correct? I really dislike when I give simple clear orders and when the food is delivered to me, I look through the bag to ensure everything is how I ordered it, but find that something is on the sandwich that should not be or vice-versa. When I complain or bring this concern to their attention, some of these places act as if they What is even more irritating is when I have asked for a correction to be made and when the order comes back to me, it is still wrong! It is bad when they don't offer an apology, but I am not one who looks for an apology, I just want them to get the order right the first time, not the 2nd, 3rd or 4th time! I understand accidents occur and while dealing with so many customers, a store can and does make mistakes, along with getting orders confused sometimes, but too many mistakes can and will cause a business to lose money because no one will go there for anything anymore and will choose an alternate location they can trust. I've worked in customer service for more than 4 years and know the importance of trying to keep the customer happy and making a profit simultaneously, but it is also important to listen to the customer and not be ignorant or imply that the customer (may have) screwed up and not accept any personal responsibility for (possibly) misplacing the order.
I think if many of the same mistakes are being made at any fast-food chain or restaurant, then the business may need to replace their workers who can effectively perform the job at hand and not make excuses when they (the restaurant) doesn't do something correctly.
