Like any teenager I personally love to go to 3D movies, but the hard thing is that 3D movies cost so much! This is a problem because of child labor laws. I cannot work at most locations, which means my income is not a lot. The prices for a 3D movie can be $8.25 for a matinee and $10.75 for a later show, compared to $6.25 for a matinee and $8.75 for a normal 2D movie.
The difference doesn't seem like much but it adds up in the end. In most 3D movies I go to the theater is not very full. If they lowered the prices so all tickets were the same price this would defiantly change. The cost for 3D movie tickets has gone up immensely these past years! Although changing the price for the theaters does not seem beneficial, I think that in the end it will add up.
If we lower the prices more people will start to go to 3D movies, because it's cheaper than before. Theaters are losing all of these customers, and the money that they would spend not only going to the movie but the snacks they buy. Now imagine a larger family going to a 3D movie because of this new change; think of all the concessions they buy. That is at least another $10 that they spend.
With the current economic state I believe that many Americans would enjoy this change.
