Memorial service for Civil Air Patrol

CLEARFIELD — A memorial service to honor the Civil Air Patrol will be Dec. 4. The 70th birthday of the aviation unit is Dec. 1.

The speaker will be Gen. Robert C. Oaks (Air Force, ret.), who served as commander of air training command and numerous other assignments. He was also a senior vice president for US Airways and a general authority for The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints.

The Utah wing of the Civil Air Patrol will host this year’s service at the Hill Aerospace Museum Chapel. The public is invited to attend.
