Pleasant View man elected to national Disabled American Veterans post

OGDEN -- Frank Maughan was recently elected the National 4th Junior Vice Commander of the national Disabled American Veterans.

Maughan, a former Weber County Commissioner, has been active in a wide variety of veterans organizations, including the Military Order of the Purple Heart and the DAV. Maughan said this is the first step toward potentially being elected national commander.

He will serve in this position for a year before applying to move to the next job on the presidential ladder.

Maughan is a resident of Pleasant View.
