(UNEDITED) I've had just about enough of the Republican bull about this bad economy and high unemployment rate being the fault of President Obama's bad leadership and policies. I guess if you have a shallow narrow mind and a short memory you just might fall for the bull FOX News, the Republican Presidential candidates, and their constituents continue to run at the mouth about.
Have we forgotten that this problem with our economy has been in the making for several years prior to President Obama taking office. It goes back to policies enacted during the Reagan/Bush Sr years.
Does anyone remember the Savings & Loan scandals? BCCI bank scandal? The huge number of corporate collapses that started with ENRON due to fraudulent and other criminal actions, followed by several others for similar and very same type of acts. These corporations were falsifying their financial statements and committing other types of fraud to try and enhance their profits for their wealthy investors.
Reagan and the Republicans keep taking away valuable regulatory policies and checks and balance systems, and leads you to believe that these corporations and banking systems can be trusted. They believe that regulatory systems hamper their ability to make substantial profits for their wealthy investors.
I view things differently. I say keep a watchful eye on these so called trust-worthy bunch of cheats. They have proven time and time again that they can't be trusted.
George W and Cheney nearly put the final nail in the Economic coffin. Taking us to war with Iraq with their continuous lies, and then giving their wealthy constituents a huge tax cut at the very start of their given Supreme court reign. I believe the Iraq war was a huge oil business deal that virtually blew up in their faces. And the American people paid a huge price for their foolish act.
I blame the Republican Congress and their constituents for any policies that didn't have a chance to get off the ground or failed to produce favorable results because they continued to block or hindered the chances of Obama's policies and plans to succeed. They wanted them to fail. That whole bunch made it perfectly clear that they wanted the Presidents efforts to fail and spouted at the same time they intended to see that he was a one term President.
Politics and money comes before the good of our country, that is how the Republicans do things. It's so obvious. I've had about enough of their ruthless uncaring tactics. I care about my country and our people too much to accept such reckless actions.
