OGDEN -- Ogden Canyon was closed to traffic in both lanes for about an hour Tuesday after a single vehicle roll-over accident.
The accident occurred around noon about a mile east of the mouth of the canyon, said Weber County Sheriff's Lt. Mark Lowther.
A Ford Escort was traveling west in Ogden Canyon, said Sheriff's Lt. John Morrow. The male driver, who wasn't identified, was driving too fast for slick road conditions, lost control, went off the side of the road, struck the side of the mountain and overturned, Morrow said. The man wasn't injured.
An unidentified 40-year-old woman passenger from Ogden was pinned in the vehicle and had to be extricated by the Ogden Fire Department.
She was taken by ambulance to McKay-Dee Hospital with neck and head injuries, Morrow said.
