Elementary school gets $32K donation

KAYSVILLE -- HollyFrontier Refinery donated $32,000 to West Bountiful Elementary School to be used toward technology improvements.

The donation was made Tuesday evening during the Davis School Board meeting at Endeavor Elementary School in Kaysville.

School administrators plan to use the donation to buy document cameras, projectors, sound systems, and to create a mobile computer lab for the upper grades. That lab will include 32 computers and upgrades to the wireless system.

The donation will also fund field trips to the Living Planet Aquarium for third-graders and field trips to The Leonardo for fourth- through sixth-graders.

Refinery officials will give a presentation on the refinery process to 40 to 50 students who have interests in math and science, and the students will then tour the facility.
