OGDEN -- Ogden Canyon was closed to traffic in both lanes for about an hour Tuesday after a single vehicle roll-over accident.
The accident occurred around noon about a mile east of the mouth of the canyon, said Lt. Mark Lowther of the Weber County Sheriff's Office.
A Ford Escort was traveling westbound in Ogden Canyon, said Lt. John Morrow of the Weber County Sheriff's Office. The male driver, who wasn't identified, was driving too fast for slick road conditions, lost control, went off the side of the road, struck the side of the mountain an overturned, Morrow said. He wasn't injured.
An unidentified 40-year-old woman passenger from Ogden was pinned in the vehicle and had to be extricated by the Ogden Fire Department.
She was taken by ambulance to McKay-Dee Hospital with neck and head injuries, Morrow said.
