CEDAR HILLS -- A Cedar Hills woman who's believed to be the oldest native Utah resident is offering some advice on her 106th birthday.
Virginia Lewis told the Desert News that people should eat healthy food and maintain a good attitude toward life.
The granddaughter of a Mormon pioneer, she also says her faith and her grandchildren have sustained her.
Her family members call her the oldest living direct descendant of Utah pioneers and the oldest native Utah resident.
Until four months ago, Lewis was still living in her Draper home. But with failing eyesight, she now lives in an assisted living community in Cedar Hills.
Her husband died in his early 50s, while their only son died in his 40s.
