Miss Davis County to speak at event

KAYSVILLE -- The Kaysville-Davis Branch of the American Association of University Women invites the public to join them at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Kaysville Branch of the Davis County Library, 44 N. Main St.

The speaker will be Kara Arnold, Miss Davis County, who will talk about how to "Discover Your Potential Through Science and Math."

Arnold will talk about her journey in the science world and her platform of promoting women in science, technology, engineering and math, also known as STEM. Her efforts focus on inspiring, encouraging, and motivating young women to discover the many opportunities available to them in the sciences.

Arnold is a senior at University of Utah pursuing a degree in biochemistry and pre-med.
