N. Logan boy saves sister in sledding accident

NORTH LOGAN  -- An 8-year-old North Logan boy has rescued his younger sister after a weekend sledding accident left her hanging by the neck from a playground slide.

Their mother told The Herald Journal of Logan (http://bit.ly/tJng3u ) the 6-year-old girl got caught by the cord of her plastic sled after pushing off from the slide.

She says it took several efforts by her son to free the girl, but he saved her.

The children recounted the accident in tears when they returned home Saturday from a neighborhood park.

Their mother says she has imposed a new family rule: Keep sleds on the ground.
