Utah man in court over Viagra-like supplements

SALT LAKE CITY -- A Utah man facing charges for selling Viagra-like supplements that federal regulators warned could be dangerous is set for his first court appearance.

Kelly Dean Harvey was due to appear Tuesday in federal court in Salt Lake City on charges of conspiracy, mail and wire fraud and money laundering.

A 31-count indictment says Harvey collected more than $2 million for erectile dysfunction products marketed as "100 percent natural."

The Food and Drug Administration began warning consumers in 2009 that the products had raw ingredients from China that could cause health problems.

Harvey's attorney, Jamie Zenger, has denied the products were harmful and says his client cooperated with the FDA.
