SALT LAKE CITY -- Nobody seems able to slow the Grizzlies down.
Logan High pulled steadily away from Region 6 runner-up Bountiful on Thursday at Utah's Rice-Eccles Stadium, rolling into the state 4-A football final with a 59-30 victory in semifinal action.
Logan improved to 13-0 on the season and will meet East Nov. 18 for the title at Rice Eccles Stadium.
Grizzlies quarterback D.J. Nelson was unstoppable, setting a new state mark for total offense in a game with more than 600 yards. He rushed for two touchdowns and passed for five more scores, all to different receivers.
Logan led 10-3 after one quarter. After the Braves' Cam Zollinger and Mo Many hooked up on a TD pass to tie things up, the Region 5 champion Grizzlies scored three touchdowns through the air to put the game away.
John Schmidt rushed for a TD and caught a TD pass from Nelson. Earlier in the season, Logan beat Bountiful 56-30.
Bountiful's Richard Haddock kidk a 35-yard field goal and Tanner Redding caught four passes for 119 yards and pair of TDs.
* EAST 24, TIMPVIEW 10: In the other 4-A semifinal, the Leopards (12-1) ran to the title with a strong second half.
Liti Molis rushed for two touchdowns as East scored the final 24 points. Timpview was hurt by two interceptions.

* HURRICANE 38, SPANISH FORK 35: At Rice-Eccles, the Tigers held on to advance to the title game for the fourth straight season.
The teams traded scores throughout. Brian Scott had three rushing TDs for Hurricane. Cedar and Desert Hills meet in the other semifinal today at St. George.
