Guatemala temple now open to public

SALT LAKE CITY — The 136th temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints opened to the public on Friday.

The Quetzaltenango Guatemala Temple will be formally dedicated on Dec. 11 in three sessions by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the First Presidency, according to the church website, lds.org. The dedicatory sessions will be broadcast to congregations of the church within the temple district.

The Quetzaltenango Guatemala Temple is the church’s fifth in Central America.
