OGDEN -- The DaVinci Academy will host an open house for its new gym on Thursday.
The public is invited, and organizers especially hope to see former employees of the American Can Company, which originally occupied the school's building.
Tours of the complex at 2033 Grant Ave. begin at 5 p.m. Thursday. Mayor Matthew Godfrey will speak at a 6 p.m. program that also will recognize those who helped with the charter school's athletic program and gym renovation project.
A 7 p.m. a pickup game will feature community members, students, staff and board members.
