CENTERVILLE -- Police are investigating a bomb threat made to Wells Fargo Bank on Tuesday.

The call came in at 1:35 p.m., said Police Lt. Paul Child. The caller, who sounded like a middle-age woman, told the employee that her father had built a bomb, "and intended to blow up the office," Child said.

Centerville police, along with South Davis Metro Fire Agency and Salt Lake Airport Police, with their bomb-detecting dog, arrived at 32 W. Parrish Lane. All six employees at the bank were evacuated, and the bank was closed to the public for about an hour.

No signs of a bomb or unusual packages were found inside or outside the building.

Detectives are investigating the phone call. Child said the woman could be charged with a second-degree felony.

Anyone with information can call police at 801-292-8441.
