Hill receives award from Chamber

KAYSVILLE -- Hill Air Force Base has been named the recipient of the 2011 Davis Chamber Legacy Award.

"The coveted Legacy Award is the highest award presented by the Davis Chamber and its Board of directors for service and leadership in the Davis County community," said Jim Smith, chamber president and CEO.

"Hill Air Force Base is a huge part of the economic engine here in Davis County and it's a great time to recognize them as they are finishing the end of their 70th anniversary," Davis Chamber chairman Jed Stevenson said.

Base officials will receive the award at the chamber's annual awards banquet on Jan. 20 at the Davis Conference Center in Layton.

The base provides engineering and logistics management for the F-16 Fighting Falcon, A-10 Thunderbolt II, Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile.
