Teen passenger dies in Kaysville crash

KAYSVILLE -- A Brigham City teen was killed late Friday night after her vehicle spun out of control on a slick Interstate 15.

The Utah Highway Patrol said the victim, Courtney Bair, 18, of Brigham City, was a passenger in a 1995 Chevy Cavalier that was heading northbound on I-15 near the 200 North interchange in Kaysville when the vehicle spun out of control on a slippery roadway.

A 2011 Ford Edge following behind the car hit the rear of the Cavalier. Two male passengers, who were also 18, were riding with Bair and were taken to the Davis Hospital and Medical Center with minor injuries.

The two passengers in the Edge were taken to Ogden Regional Medical Center for precautionary measures.
