PORTERVILLE -- The Morgan County Sheriff's Office believes they have identified the shooter in the murder-suicide of a Porterville couple.
According to a report released by the Sheriff's Office Tuesday, Grant Wadman, 57, is suspected of killing his wife, Marilee Wadman, 41, before taking his own life.
The Medical Examiner said the shooting occurred one week prior to the bodies being found in the couple's home at 390 W. Hardscrabble Road on Nov. 17 by family members and deputies.
When they arrived, deputies found two bullet holes in the north-facing windows and found the bodies of the couple in the living room protected by their two dogs.
Deputies had responded to domestic disturbance calls several times in the past two years.
Marilee Wadman had finished probation about a month ago after being found guilty of attempted assault and disorderly conduct this year from an incident on Aug. 31, 2010.
The incident is now under review by the Morgan County Attorney.
