Hayrides starting in Commons Park

LAYTON -- Christmas hayrides through Commons Park are back.

Starting Dec. 2, visitors to the Christmas lights can take a tour of the park in an old-fashioned hayride. The wagons will depart between 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. from the Burger Stop parking lot, 323 Gentile St.

The cost is $2 for riders 12-older, $1 for ages 5-12 and free for those younger than 5. All proceeds will be donated to Safe Harbor Domestic Violence Shelter in Davis County and St. Anne's Shelter.

The rides will take place Dec. 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 and 17. Those riding in the wagons are encouraged to bring a blanket because the weather likely will be cold.
