Plain City projects are moving along

PLAIN CITY — The demolition project at Town Square has been completed, Councilwoman LaFray Kelley said recently.

She also said Phase 1 has been completed at Pioneer Park, and the city has received the RAMP check for $150,000.

Kelley said Phase 2 will include sand volleyball and a walking path, and Phase 3 will be the playground.

She also said tables and benches at the pavilion at Pioneer Park could be donated or created as part of an Eagle Scout project, and that the city could also use donations for the playground.

Kelley also said the city probably would not apply for a CDBG grant this year because those giving the grant are focusing on housing rather than infrastructure.
