Courtney Jill Gartz and Roger Lucas Miller were married on Nov. 19 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Bountiful Temple.
Parents of the bride are Roger and Connie Gartz of Los Alamos, N.M.
Parents of the groom are Jane and Kent Miller of Ogden.
She received a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and a Master of Education degree from the University of Virginia. She also teaches elementary education in Virginia.
He received a bachelor's degree in zoology from Weber State University, D.D.S., at Indiana University School of Dentistry, and a master's degree in oral biology from the University of Texas Health Science Center. Last year, he completed a residency program in prosthodontics at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio. Currently he is stationed at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, D.C., where he practices and teaches prosthodontics.
Both served LDS missions -- she in Washington, D.C., and he in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
They enjoy traveling and have used their skills to help others in Ecuador and Fiji.
