Brown
Dick and Yvonne Brown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 26 with a family dinner at the Olive Garden in Layton.
They were married on Nov. 26, 1961.
He was born in Jerome, Idaho, a son of Glen and Esther Lynch Brown. She was born in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Dale and Afton Bennett Elison.
He worked at Hill Air Force Base for 33 years and was president and served on the board of directors for the Mutton Hollow Improvement District for many years. He leveled many yards and prepared gardens for planting with his tractor. He also enjoys woodworking.
She was a stay-at-home mom while her children were growing up. She later worked as a partner in a wedding reception business, at Lindquist's Layton and Kaysville Mortuaries, and is currently working at Kohl's in Layton.
They were members of the Utah Arabian Horse Club for many years. They lived most of their life in Kaysville, moved to Arizona for a few years, and now live in Clearfield. They enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren and watching ball games.
Their children and spouses are Kim and Dan Timmerman, Shane and Allyson Brown, and DeDe and Travis Johnson. They have 10 grandchildren and three great-grandsons.
