Public memorial set for slain Utah bookseller

SALT LAKE CITY -- The family of a slain South Salt Lake bookseller will mark the one-year anniversary of her death with a graveside memorial service.

Sherry Black's husband found her dead inside her B&W Billiards and Books on Nov. 30, 2010.

No one has ever been arrested for the crime and police say they have no suspects.

The 64-year-old was the mother-in-law of Utah Jazz executive Greg Miller.

The family is planning a memorial for 6 p.m. Wednesday at Wasatch Lawn and Memorial Park in Salt Lake City. The public is welcome.

Black's daughter Heidi Miller said Monday that the family is hoping to reopen the bookstore on a limited basis by January.

The family has offered a $50,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
