LAYTON -- Davis and Morgan residents can bring their green waste to Wasatch Integrated Waste Management free of charge until Dec. 17.
"We are responding to the community emergency," said Nathan Rich, executive director of the special service district.
Green waste includes trees and bushes destroyed by Thursday's windstorm.
It does not include roofs, fences, insulation or other construction demolition residents incurred due to the high winds.
Construction and demolition waste will incur the normal fees, he said.
Residents should bring either a driver's license or a utility bill as proof of residence. Any resident who brought green waste to the facility on Thursday and was charged, can receive a refund with proof of residence, Rich said.
The green waste facility is open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. It is located at 1997 E. 3500 North, Layton. For more information, call 801-614-5600
