KEARNS -- A 29-year-old man has been arrested on two counts of automobile homicide after his car crashed into a Kearns home, killing his sister and her husband.
Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal says investigators believe speed and alcohol were factors in the accident late Saturday afternoon.
Witnesses told police that the car driven by Christopher Youngblood was speeding when it went out of control, struck a cement wall and slammed into the house.
The driver's 31-year-old sister, Erica Youngblood, and her 29-year-old husband, Michael Dye, were killed in the crash. She was in the front seat, while her husband was in the back seat.
Christopher Youngblood was released after treatment at a hospital and then booked into the Salt Lake County Jail.
