Bill and Judy Hodson of West Haven celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family party on Dec. 2 at the Maddox Ranch House Restaurant.
They were married Dec. 1, 1961, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.
Both were born in Ogden and grew up in Wilson as next door neighbors.
He graduated from Weber High School in 1956. He served two years in the U.S. Army. He worked as a horse shoer for 50 years. He participated in horse activities such as cutter racing, rodeo and training rodeo horses. He is active in the LDS Church and has served in various callings. He enjoys anything involving horses and spending time with his family.
She graduated from Weber High School and LDS Seminary in 1960 and attended Weber State College. She retired from Weber School District after 29 years of working as a paraprofessional. She is active in the LDS Church and has served in various callings. She was also active in the Scouting program. She participated in sports and coached youth softball teams and Little League T-ball teams. She enjoys spending time with her family and attending the many activities of her grandchildren.
Their children and spouses are Clay and Leisa Hodson, Brad and Karen Hodson, and Justin and Cami Hodson.
They have 10 grandchildren.
