Keith and Janice Anderson of Taylor celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Mesa, Ariz. Their children hosted a family dinner for them on Dec. 3 at the Maddox Ranch House Restaurant.
They were married Nov. 30, 1961, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple.
The son of Joseph and Katherine Anderson of Taylor, he graduated from Weber High School, where he was on the football and wrestling teams. He received a Bachelor of Education degree from Weber State College and Master of Education degree from Utah State University. He served a 32-month LDS mission to Sweden. He taught in the Weber County School District for 34 years.
The daughter of Arvel and June Stratford of Wilson, she graduated from Weber High School and worked as a legal secretary for a short time. Her career then shifted to government work at Hill Air Force Base and the Internal Revenue Service. She retired from IRS after 20 years.
Both have been active in the LDS Church and served in leadership positions. They served in the Sweden Stockholm LDS Mission and as the mission president and wife of the Washington Kennewick LDS Mission. They served as Ogden LDS Temple ordinance workers, and he served there as a sealer. He serves as a patriarch in the Ogden West LDS Stake.
Their children and spouses are Deanna Anderson, Nancy and Larry McFarland, Brian and Tifnee Anderson, and Jennilyn and Paul Ferry. They have 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
