Sherman and Beverly Sewell

Sherman and Beverly Sewell of Ogden celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.

They were married Nov. 29, 1946, in Wellsville. Their vows were later solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.

He was born in Ogden to Henry W. and Elece Sewell. She was born in Wellsville to Maurice and Anna Parkinson.

He served in the Army during World War II, spending most of the time in the South Pacific. He was a government accountant for 34 years at Hill Air Force Base. He served 40 years on the credit committee of America First Credit Union. Since retirement, he has been an income tax consultant.

She worked at Defense Depot Ogden, HAFB and Beehive Clothing. She is also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

Both have been active in the LDS Church, serving in various positions, including volunteers at the Family History Center for many years.

They are members of Over the Hill Sam's Camping Chapter and have enjoyed many hours camping with family and friends.

Their children and spouses are Ron and Diana Sewell, Scott and Cindy Sewell, Karl and Jan Sewell, Shelley and Dave Barlow, and Jackie and Mark Dotson. They have 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
