ROY -- Police are searching for a stolen maroon 2006 Toyota Tundra pickup truck that contains an AR-15 assault rifle, several other guns and a large cache of ammunition.
The truck was reported stolen about 10 a.m. Wednesday morning from in front of a home around 6000 South and 2100 West, said Anna Bond, spokeswoman for the Roy Police Department.
The driver of the truck had left the vehicle to warm up when a light blue Pontiac Bonneville pulled up with two men, a woman and another person, whose gender is unknown, inside.
The two men remained in the Bonneville and the other individuals drove off in the truck, said Bond. The truck was last seen heading into Davis County.
The owner of the Tundra was planning to transport the guns to another location when the truck was stolen, Bond said. It has not been determined if the vehicle theft was random or planned.
The Tundra has a blue dog kennel in the bed of the truck and a sticker in the back window that reads SRH. The vehicle's license plate number is A998LW.
The suspects are described as a black male, a white male, a white female and race of the remaining individual is unknown. Anyone who spots the truck should contact the Weber Consolidated Dispatch Center at 801- 629-8221
