ROY -- A Utah Highway Patrol officer is injured after his car was struck by a vehicle on Interstate 15 in Weber County.
Officials say the trooper was parked on the side of northbound lanes near mile marker 340 just before 2 a.m. Friday when a vehicle went off the side of the road and hit the back of his patrol car.
The trooper was taken to a hospital and later released with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Weber County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash.
