Police arrest 2, seek 1 in theft of porch package

SOUTH OGDEN -- Officials are seeking information about the whereabouts of Jordan Nilson, 22, of Washington Terrace, a suspect in a Friday morning package theft.

Police say he is suspected of fleeing from officers who stopped a car in Riverdale just after 9:30 a.m. Friday.

South Ogden police were called when a resident reported a suspicious circumstance after a car pulled up in front of a neighbor's house. A person got out of the vehicle, took a package from the front porch and left, according to a police news release.

Officers spotted the vehicle with three occupants, one of whom matched the description of the suspect reported by the neighbor, the release states.

When police stopped the vehicle, one of the occupants fled. He was pursued on foot but was not caught.

Packages taken from the residence were located inside the vehicle.

The other occupants of the car were arrested and booked into Weber County Jail on theft charges, states the release.

They are Cameron Agee, 21, of South Ogden, and Jessica Stimpson, 21, of Riverdale.

Police are asking anyone with information about Nilson to call the South Ogden Police Department at 801-629-8221.
