Bountiful family marks 2 years since man vanished

BOUNTIFUL -- Family members in Bountiful, Utah, are relighting a Christmas tree to mark two years since a then-30-year-old man disappeared in Henderson, Nev., with hardly a trace.

Steven Koecher's brother Dallin says one of the last things the missing man did before he vanished Dec. 13, 2009, was put white Christmas lights on a tree in front of his parents' house.

Relatives say the relighting ceremony scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday symbolizes hope that Koecher will return safely, in spite of few leads in his case.

Family members don't know why Koecher was in Nevada, but say he may have been looking for a job. He was last seen on surveillance video walking away from his car.

Nevada and Utah authorities say the case remains open.
