Michelle Nelson and Derek Sorensen were married Oct. 21 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Oquirrh Mountain Temple. A reception was held in their honor at the Riverdale LDS Stake Center.
The bride is the daughter of Roy and Patti Nelson of Riverdale. Parents of the bridegroom are Dennis and Janae Sorensen of Longmont, Colo.
The bride chose JeNae Clegg as matron of honor. Kristy Cox and Shawn Croshaw were her maids of honor. Kris Nelson, Dani Brush, Alicia Perkins and Tara Sanders were her bridesmaids.
Jason Hester performed the duties of best man. Ryan Sorensen, Cameron Perkins, Tyler Nelson, Austin Nelson and James Clegg were his groomsmen.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education from Southern Utah University. She is currently working on a Master of Education degree from Weber State University. She is employed by Davis School District Youth in Custody Program.
He received a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Brigham Young University. He served in the Hawaii Honolulu LDS Mission and is employed by ARUP.
