Work crews find man’s body in Price sewer manhole

PRICE, Utah — Authorities say they suspect foul play after a man’s decomposing body was found in a sewer manhole near Price.

Carbon County Sheriff James Cordova says a maintenance crew found the body about 10:30 a.m. Monday during a routine check of the sewer system.

Cordova says circumstances at the scene raised suspicions, although he wouldn’t say what those circumstances were.

Officials say the man had no identification on him.

The man’s body was taken to the medical examiner for an autopsy.
