Ogden area ranked 15th for business

Four Utah metro areas, including Ogden, are ranked among the top 25 in the country for business by The Milken Institute.

The institute is an independent economic think tank which, in this ranking, measured the job, wage, and technology performance among the nation's 200 large metropolitan areas. The ranking does not take into account quality of life.

"Ogden led the nation in job growth for the past 12 months according to Bureau of Labor and Statistics and this accomplishment has paved the way for these kinds of rankings," said Mayor Matthew Godfrey in a statement.

The Ogden metro area ranked 15th on the list. Salt Lake City was sixth and Provo ninth. Logan placed first among small cities.
