HUNTSVILLE -- A man was taken to the hospital to get checked out after taking out mailboxes and two fences with his vehicle.
The 63-year-old Ogden man was driving through Huntsville when he went in and out of consciousness, Weber County Sheriff's Cpl. Nealy Adams said.
The man took out six mail boxes, 50- to 75-foot sections of a barbed wire fence and a white vinyl fence, and came to a stop when he hit an old power pole at 1500 North and 7800 East, Adams said. Investigators believe a medical condition caused the man to lose consciousness, and he was taken to an area hospital to get checked out.
Adams estimated the cost of the damage at a few thousand dollars. Though the power pole was damaged, it was previously out of service.
