SALT LAKE CITY -- Kristine Knowlton, assistant attorney general for the Utah Attorney General's Office, was named the 2011 Attorney of the Year on Tuesday.
Knowlton, who lives in Ogden, is the atttorney's office "go-to" person when it comes to domestic violence and child abuse, according to a news release from the office.
She also drafted and helped pass an administrative subpoena law that speeds up the help for child victims of sex abuse and abduction and for stalking victims.
Last March, Knowlton was also involved in the state's largest investigation into child pornography. Knowlton and Benjamin Lee, of Syracuse, a special agent for the Internet Crimes Against Children task force, were honored for their service at a ceremony in the state Capitol.
